Mr. Troxell is a Certified Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (Number 251062) and holds licenses in both Maryland (Number 31177) and Virginia (Number 3380000693NRS) with a New Residential Structures (NRS) designation.
He has performed more than 1500 home inspections in MD, DC, and VA since 2010.

Mr. Troxell serves the profession, both on the local chapter level, but also on the National level of ASHI. He served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors (MAC-ASHI) as the chapter Treasurer (2013 – 2017), as a Director (2017-2018), and as Vice President (2018-2019); Member of the MAC-ASHI Education Committee (2014 – present); Member of the MAC-ASHI Energy Committee (2016-2018)
His service continues on the National level where he served as Chairman of the Young Professionals Task Force (2018); a Member of the ASHI Membership Committee (2013); Member of the ASHI Legislative Committee (2015); Member of the ASHI Chapter Relations Committee (2016, 2017, 2018); Member of the ASHI Strategic Planning Committee (2018, 2024); Member of the ASHI Standards and Ethics Committee (2023, 2024); President appointed Member of the ASHI Certification Committee (2024); Instructor for the ASHI School (2016-2019); Attended ASHI Leadership Training Conferences (2012, 2016, 2017, 2018); Attended the ASHI National Inspection World education conferences (2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2023) and MAC-ASHI and NOVA-ASHI Seminars (2011-2023)
He received the 2023 ASHI Ironman Award for continued service to the association over time with little recognition.
Mr. Troxell has experience in different facets of construction, such as: Crew chief installing vinyl siding, roofing and framing on new homes and remodeling projects. He has performed numerous renovations, additions and repairs to drywall, roofing, siding, doors, and restoration of masonry, windows and porches. He has installed and repaired various types of roofing systems, and was the lead carpenter framing houses.
He participated in the Historic Restoration Artisan Project for historic structures and their preservation, and restoration; he helped to restore houses in New Orleans that were devastated by hurricane Katrina as part of The Preservation Trades Network Rebuilding Hope Reclaiming Heritage workshop; locally he completed masonry restoration on the Historical Society of Frederick County, Maryland museum.
He received the Eagle Scout rank in 1998.
